Ecoshield has produced the world's first water-based Polycarbonate coating, Carbon Coat, designed to outperform traditional Polyurethane.
Polycarbonate is renowned for its clarity and exceptional durability, making it ideal for applications like bulletproof glass and aircraft windshields. Carbon Coat is the most scratch-resistant water-based clear coat available today.
Additionally, we've created a completely non-toxic hardener with no odor. Unlike most two-pack additives that contain isocyanates, can pose significant health risks, our Diamond Link Hardener is entirely isocyanate-free.
WHY CHOOSE WATER-BASED
The key distinction between toxic solvent-based coatings and non-toxic water-based coatings lies in the level of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) that are released as the finish dries.
While polyurethane coating releases harmful solvents into the air during the drying process, a water-based coating only releases water, making it a much safer choice.
With low VOCs, Ecoshield eliminates the need to vacate the premises during application due to solvent fumes and alleviates concerns about the health risks associated with toxic chemicals.
